As Head of Capital Markets, Chris leads Clarus Capital’s coverage of institutional accounts with responsibility for sourcing and syndicating new equipment finance and leasing opportunities through a network of long-standing capital markets relationships. Chris is located in the firm’s Boston, headquarters.
Chris has over 30 years of experience originating and structuring equipment financings for clients both domestically and cross-border. Prior to joining Clarus Capital, Chris was a Senior Vice President at SLR Equipment Finance. Previously, he worked for Citizens Bank where he was responsible for managing the Asset Finance business development team within the bank footprint. Chris served as President of Equipment Finance and Leasing at Sovereign Bank (now Santander) for 6 years where he oversaw the middle market and large corporate leasing team, the small ticket and vendor equipment finance division and the aircraft finance division. He also held senior level roles at Key Bank and Bank of Tokyo (now MUFG).
Chris has taken an active leadership role in the equipment finance industry for many years. He served as Chairman of the ELFA Financial Institutions Business Council Steering Committee. The ELFA is the national industry association for the equipment finance and leasing industry.
Chris lives in the western suburbs of Boston and is the proud father of three grown children, two sons and a daughter. When he is not in the office, Chris can be found skiing, sailing, and biking.
